The drum has been used by all cultures around the world to make music and as a tool to raise social energy, alter consciousness, and move healing influences.  While the embellishments on a drum may be culturally specific, the technology of lacing skin to wood is global and belongs to all peoples.*

This two-day workshop will provide the opportunity for each participant to make your own personal healing drum.  The healing energy in your drum will originate from your personal life experience and be enhanced by creating sacred space and teachings of this workshop.  Universal craft techniques, spiritual practice, and personal expression will result in a painted 15” drum and mallet.

No previous experience is necessary.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a floor cushion and your own lunch.  Participants are also invited to bring any items they wish to create sacred space for the workshop.  All materials will be provided, including paint for the drum and mallet.  Location is a private, countryside setting east of St. Paul.  Specifics given at registration
